I am personally on the support growing by leaps and bounds over the next 6 to 12 months. I am not a developer but I hear it is not a painstaking process. So if amazon does not support the chromecast, its a business decision not a technology hurdle. It can be argued that not supporting android could be considered a technology hurdle but considering how proficient Amazon has proven to be in deploying technology, I consider it to be a willful decision to push kindle devices.

Sometimes I have to get my phone charger near the end of the movie so that the phone doesn't run out of battery.

I uninstalled Silverlight and tried again to watch a video. The Amazon video screen showed the alternative option of viewing the movie using Flash which worked with the Chromecast reasonably well. I subsequently re-installed Silverlight but the Chomecast of Amazon videos is still working. I turned off the speaker on my computer and the sounds comes through the TV speakers with no delay.

I'm not sure you know what a Chromecast is. In order to see that button, Amazon would have to build that capability into their Instant Video player.

Can you tabcast from the Fire HDX? It is becoming very difficult to find devices that easily play amazon videos! I own a Samsung tablet no amazon video either.

I too have issues with tab casting - and more importantly, it's not how I want to use it. Casting NetFlix from the phone or tablet works so well. Given the price increase coming up for Amazon Prime, and their bizarre attitude towards Chromecast, it looks like time to walk away.

If you can't see it in full screen and the audio doesn't sync then there is either something wrong with your computer or your wifi network isn't sufficient. Chromecast does NOT support Silverlight, so if you are running Silverlight, you need to disable it in your extensions in order to view your movies through tab casting.
